Sunrise Medical S700 Battery

Restore the Range of Your "Leader of the Pack." We Come to You.

The Sunrise Medical Sterling S700 is the flagship of the S-Series. With its massive 33cm pneumatic tires, independent 4-wheel suspension, and powerful LED lighting system, it is designed for one thing: pure outdoor performance.

But "Performance" requires power. The S700 is a large, heavy machine (320 lbs). If you are noticing that your top speed drops on hills, or if you can no longer complete your usual long-distance loop without the battery gauge flashing red, your power plant is likely exhausted.

At MobileBattery, we specialize in the high-capacity needs of the Sterling S-Series. We bring the heavy-duty power upgrades directly to your door, ensuring your S700 continues to be the reliable outdoor companion you bought it to be.

The S700 Power Spec: Built for Distance

The Sunrise Medical S700 is engineered around the Group 24 (75Ah) battery standard. This is the "Big Block" engine of mobility batteries, providing the deep energy reserves needed for long trips.

The "Generic" Mistake: Because the S700 is often used for grocery runs and trail riding, installing cheap "General Purpose" Group 24 batteries is a recipe for frustration.

  • The Symptom: The scooter runs fine on flat ground but goes into "Limp Mode" (slow speed) the moment you hit a steep incline or a curb. This is caused by Voltage Sag—weak batteries cannot deliver the surge of power the S700's large motor demands.

The MobileBattery Standard: We only install Traction-Grade High-Output batteries for the S700.

  • Why: Our batteries feature reinforced lead plates designed to sustain high voltage under heavy load. This ensures your S700 maintains its speed on hills and keeps its bright LED lights steady without flickering.

Select Your Performance Tier

We offer three professional-grade configurations for the Sunrise Medical S700, designed to match your adventure level.

Option A: The Factory Standard (AGM)

"The OEM Restoration." This is the direct replacement for the batteries that came with your S700 when it was new. It restores the original factory range and reliability.

  • Range: Restores the factory rating (approx. 35-40km).

  • Tech: 75Ah Sealed AGM (Maintenance Free).

Option B: The Outdoor Upgrade (Discover® EV Dry Cell)

"The Trail Master." Highly Recommended for Active Users. If you use your S700 on gravel paths, grass, or in the rain, you need a battery that fights back. Discover® Dry Cell technology is engineered for the rigors of outdoor use.

  • Vibration Resistant: The S700 is an outdoor scooter; these batteries are reinforced to withstand the bumps and shakes of the trail.

  • Winter Ready: Performs significantly better in Canadian cold/damp conditions than standard AGM batteries.

Option C: The Lithium Experience (Discover® Blue)

"The Weight Loss Program." The S700 is a heavy beast. By upgrading to Discover Blue Lithium, you strip over 50 lbs of dead weight off the scooter instantly.

  • Handling: With less weight to push, the S700 accelerates faster, stops shorter, and floats over bumps more smoothly.

  • Smart Monitor: Use the Bluetooth App to see exactly how much "Fuel" you have left—crucial for long-distance trips.

  • Longevity: Rated for up to 10 years of service life.

Why S700 Owners Call MobileBattery

The Sunrise Medical S700 is one of the largest scooters on the market.

The "Impossible Lift": Weighing in at over 320 lbs, the S700 cannot be lifted into a car. It does not disassemble. If your batteries die, getting this scooter to a shop usually requires a flatbed tow truck or a specialized medical van, costing you hundreds of dollars.

The Mobile Solution:

  • We Come to You: We service the scooter right in your garage, shed, or driveway.

  • Suspension Check: While we are there, we inspect the S700’s complex 4-wheel suspension system to ensure no components are loose or squeaking.

  • Lighting Check: The S700 features an advanced 400x efficiency LED lighting system. We check all signals and brake lights to ensure you are visible on the road.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What is the correct battery size for the Sunrise Medical S700?

The S700 requires two (2) 12-Volt Group 24 batteries.

  • Fitment Note: The battery tray in the S700 is molded specifically for the Group 24 footprint. Do not attempt to fit larger Group 27 batteries, as they will not fit under the shroud, and do not use smaller Group 22NF batteries, as they will slide around and disconnect.

My S700 slows down when I corner. Is that the battery?

Usually, no. The S700 features a safety system called "Intelligent Speed Reduction" which automatically slows the scooter when you turn the handlebars sharply. However, if the slowing feels jerky or excessive, it can be a sign that weak batteries are confusing the controller's voltage sensors.

How far can I go on a single charge?

With a fresh set of our High-Output Group 24 batteries, the S700 is rated for up to 55 km (34 miles) under ideal conditions. Real-world range for most users in hilly areas is typically 35-45 km.
